Invested Giving

Endowment funds for the Vermont Symphony Orchestra enable us to better serve our mission. The VSO has multiple named funds to provide support for statewide initiatives. If you are interested in creating a named fund in honor of a specific person or to support a particular area of interest, please contact Devon Cooke, Director of Development, at 802-864-5741 x25 or at devon@vso.org

Morris Block Fund: To endow the principal cello chair.

Ann E. Cooper Fund for Artistic Leadership: To support senior artistic leadership at the VSO.*

Robert De Cormier Fund: To support the activities of the VSO Chorus.

John M. Dinse Principal Bass Chair Fund: To endow the principal bass chair.

Albert F. and Hilda Woodruff Gollnick Fund: To support Musicians-in-the-Schools presentations in Addison County.

May D. Goodman Fund: To support orchestral performances in the Manchester Area.

William Gray Vocal Music Fund: To support the VSO’s presentation of vocal works, including operatic, choral and sacred music.

Frank Hensel Memorial Fund: To support statewide educational activities.

Susi Learmonth Upper Valley SymphonyKids Fund: To support educational outreach programs in the Upper Valley.

Natalie Lisman Guest Soloist Fund: To support the presentation of young artists with Vermont ties.

Eleanor C. Long Second Oboe Chair Fund: To endow the second oboe chair.

Caroline MacDonald Fund: To support the assistant principal second violin chair.

Charles and Alison MacDonald Family Fund: To provide general support for the VSO.**

Lois H. McClure Musicians-in-the-Schools Fund: To endow the SymphonyKids Musicians-in-the-Schools program.

Shirley Niebling Fund: To provide general support for the VSO.

Glenn and Marga Sproul Principal Viola Chair Fund: To support the principal viola chair.

Kate Tamarkin Education Fund: To support music education activities throughout Vermont.

Vernont Symphony Orchestra Planned Giving Fund: To provide general support for the VSO.*

Webb Trust Fund: To support the presentation of both well-established and young, aspiring pianists in performance with the VSO.

David M. Wilson Memorial Fund: To support the annual David M. Wilson Memorial Farmers’ Night Concert at the State House in Montpelier.

Young Cultural Endowment for Rutland: To support arts and arts education in Rutland and the Killington Valley areas.
