Where were you born and (if different) where did you grow up? Waterloo, Ontario; moved to Vermont when I was eleven

Education: BA from UVM (self-designed major in public policy/women’s studies); one year pre-med at Colorado University in Boulder

When did you start playing with the VSO? 2001

Hobbies: dance, cooking, eating, movies, trying to keep up with the New Yorker!

How did you get started in music? My mother was a violinist. Everyone in the family played an instrument relatively seriously. I begged for a violin at age 3 and started at age 4.

Dream job if not musician: professional dancer

Pet peeve: people who won’t move out of the left lane

Most proud of: My daughter, what else? She is my personal inspiration.
