January Jukebox: A Note from Matt LaRocca

Thank you to all who came out to our Jukebox concerts this weekend! It was great to be back in Rutland at Merchants Hall and then have a sold-out show at ArtsRiot. Our Jukebox quartet played beautifully and it’s always a pleasure having Mary Bonhag join us. Be sure to check out our friends at Scrag Mountain Music, an organization run by Mary and her husband Evan Premo (who arranged Two Brothers and Kisses Sweeter Than Wine). Scrag will be in Burlington at Contois Auditorium with Musical Storytelling for All Ages on February 8.

This is an odd Jukebox where much of the music we played has yet to be recorded…so in lieu of a Spotify playlist, this time around I’m sharing some links to videos. You can re-watch the video to Daughters of Sol, listen to all seven movements of The Prophet, hear more music by Jessie Montgomery, and see Ann Sofie von Otter sing both Mozart’s C Minor Mass and Kate Bush’s Pi.  Enjoy!
