Where were you born and (if different) where did you grow up? I was born and raised in Middlesex, VT.

Current residence and marital status/family: Shelburne, VT. I have family here in Chittenden County as well as in NYC, in Houston, TX and in Denver, CO.

Education: B.M. and M.M., both from the Mannes College of Music (NYC)

When did you start playing with the VSO? December of 2009.

Other current jobs besides VSO: Affiliate Artist faculty at UVM, concertmaster of the Middlebury Bach Festival Orchestra, violinist with the Springfield Symphony (MA), the DCINY Orchestra (NYC), the Handel Society (NH) and Opera Company of Middlebury. I also play with a number of chamber groups in the area and contract for the Burlington Choral Society.

Favorite composer: Bach without question.

Hobbies: Running, hiking, singing, practicing yoga, cooking, playing music with my dad. Making fun of my family.

How did you get started in music? I started taking violin lessons when I was four, inspired by my four older siblings.

Describe a typical day: what is that?

Secret ambition: To be a pop star.

Favorite vice: Depends on what kind of day it’s been!

People would be surprised to know that: I can talk at length about sports…predominantly European soccer.

Best advice I ever got: You can’t budget for crazy; Being kind is not complicated.

Pet peeve: Limp handshakes.
