Please bring your own lawn chair, and a picnic if you like.

Reminiscing with old friends, sharing memories, and playing our songs again–VSO musicians bring their version of a garden party to the lush surroundings of Vermont’s gardens and historic homes this summer. As we return to live performance, we also return to the familiar sounds and folk melodies that celebrate the season. Works by Antonin Dvorak, William Grant Still, Gwyneth Walker, Alexander Glazunov, and a suite of classic American musical favorites will bring a tap to your toe and a smile to your face. Relax with a free string quartet concert on July 10 at 3:00 p.m.

Mozart: Divertimento

William Grant Still: Danzas de Panama

Gwyneth Walker: “Arkansas Traveler” from Traveling Songs

Glazunov Novelettes

Suite of classic American musicals (Cole Porter – Anything Goes”; Gershwin/Silverman – “Fascinating Rhythm,” “Clap Your Hands,” and “Sweet and Lowdown”)
