During the coldest and darkest days of the year, the VSO brings light, hope, and joy to senior residence communities and assisted living facilities across the state with its “Midwinter Music” community engagement program from February 14-20, 2022. In doing so, we bring the chamber music ensemble experience to people in St. Albans, Burlington, Middlebury, Rutland, Montpelier, Shelburne and Hardwick who may be unable to access our concerts.
This one-hour program features music performed by a VSO string quartet (violinists Jane Kittredge and Kathy Andrew, violist Ana Ruesink, and cellist John Dunlop) and readings of poetry from a range of writers, including Vermont poets Robert Frost, David Budbill, and Chard deNiord, as well as a work by Young Writers Project member Zoe Bernstein.
Please note that this is a private concert tour and not open to the public. Presented in collaboration with Vermont Humanities.
