Vermont Symphony Orchestra

CANCELED: Epic Mozart – Burlington

The Flynn has canceled all events through May 31 due to concerns over COVID-19 (view their full statement here).  Ticket-holders, click here for ticketing options.

All concerts begin at 7:30 pm and are preceded at 6:30 pm by Musically Speaking, a free pre-concert discussion that provides entertaining insight into the evening’s program.

The Vermont Symphony Chorus returns to the stage under the direction of José Daniel Flores-Caraballo opening with Peter Warlock’s delightful Capriol Suite. The world premiere of a VSO-commissioned work from Vermont composer Matthew Evan Taylor closes out the first half. Mozart’s Requiem was left unfinished on the composer’s deathbed, and it presents optimism and consolation in the face of tragedy, closing the concert with one of music history’s most beloved and famous compositions.
