DESCRIPTION:The Vermont Symphony Orchestra takes the stage alongside Grace Potter at Grand Point North.  \nAcclaimed singer\, songwriter\, multi-instrumentalist\, band leader\, GRAMMY nominee and Fayston native Grace Potter is teaming up with the VSO again following their successful collaboration in March. Together\, they explore this Vermont rock legend’s music with Grace as the concert soloist. You’ll hear “Masterpiece” and “Lady Vagabond” from her newest album Mother Road\, her biggest hits “The Lion The Beast The Beat\,” “Paris (Ooh La La)\,” “Stars” and more.  \nDay one of this three day festival at the waterfront in Burlington also features Maryse Smith\, The Wet Ones!\, Burly Girlies\, and Grace Palmer. DESCRIPTION:Buy Tickets \nSubscriptions are on sale now! \nTo subscribe\, click here.  \nThe 2025-26 season opens with one of the world’s leading tabla virtuosos\, Grammy Award-winning musician Sandeep Das\, a 21-year member of the Silk Road Ensemble and collaborator with Paquito D’Rivera\, Bobby McFerrin\, and Yo-Yo Ma amongst others. VSO also welcomes guest sitarist Rajib Karmakar to start the concert with the first movement of pioneering composer Ravi Shankar’s Symphony. Das follows with Sri Lankan/Canadian composer Dinuk Wijeratne’s brilliant Tabla Concerto\, a three movement exploration of baroque\, electronica\, folk\, and romantic styles. The concert completes its East/West connection with Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition\, a hugely popular\, sweeping work masterfully orchestrated by Maurice Ravel. The piece gives a distinct musical voice to visual art and shows the full colors and virtuosity of the orchestra. \nThe concert is preceded by Musically Speaking\, a free discussion hosted by James Stewart\, VSO Music Director Andrew Crust\, and the concert guest artists\, providing entertaining insight into the evening’s program. \nNew to this season\, VSO and Vermont Wine Merchants (VWM) are hosting a pre-concert wine tasting featuring varietals from around the world with insights from VWM General Manager Drew Robinson.
